Kinlochspelve, Isle of Mull, ScotlandAffording stunning views from its remote setting over beautiful and tranquil Loch Uisg, this spacious and comfortable former hunting lodge stands with its own secure garden in a beautiful and peaceful woodland setting at the foot of Bheinn Creach. Across the lane, a further 2 acres of walled garden and natural grounds reach down to the shore of the loch, and the nearest beach is only 2½ miles away at Laggan Sands.
Ideal for two families holidaying together, the house was built for a clan chief in the 19th century, and enjoys a timeless atmosphere, whilst being well equipped for modern living, with excellent heating for out-of-season holidays, and even a games room with table tennis.
The slopes of Bheinn Creach rise behind the house and visitors exploring the locality may discover the soothing charm of tumbling burns, marvellous hill walking and an abundance of wildlife, including red deer, eagles (golden and sea) and otters. Mull is rich in outstanding landscapes, from its mountains to its sandy beaches, and other experiences to be enjoyed include visits to the cheerfully colour-washed port of Tobermory (40miles), the sacred island of Iona, and boat trips to the extraordinary basalt island of Staffa and its enormous Fingal's Cave. Boat hire and fishing are available on Loch Uisg, and sea fishing on Loch Spelve (½ mile). Two 9-hole golf courses nearby. Restaurant 9 miles at Lochdon.
